Over the last few years, Hygienica Environmental (HEAL) has developed a series of training and education programs to suit your occupational health and safety needs. These programs help management staff and workers understand the risks associated with hazardous materials and how to implement a strong safety management system and culture in the workplace.
Each of our training programs comes with the following
Participants are required to complete either a knowledge test or demonstration of comprehension
Employer record of all training for due diligence
Training course participants are all provided with a certificate or proof of completion
Part 6 of BC OHSR mandates employers to ensure that a worker who is at risk of exposure to hazardous materials is adequately instructed and trained. Learn more about the different types of hazardous materials training and awareness plans offered by Hygienica here.
Hygienica Environmental has developed a Coronavirus Awareness Training Program to provide education on the different workplace risks associated with COVID-19 and what employers need to do to ensure adequate cleaning and disinfection protocols are in place. More information can be found here.
As per OHS Regulation part 8, employers are required to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for workers that is tailored to their specific working procedures. Hygienica can help you develop your PPE program and ensure that management and all workers are knowledgeable in their responsibilities regarding PPE. More information regarding PPE can be found here.
Employers are responsible for providing workers with respirators if there is a chance of exposure to hazardous airborne contaminants and ensuring a proper fit test has been conducted. HEAL offers both qualitative and quantitative fit testing, conducted by certified professionals that are capable of performing fit tests for workers on-site. More information regarding respiratory protection and fit testing can be found here.
